Ben_Chiu Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: "VPC Challenge" 06-23-04, 18:22z  Greetings! We were kicking around a new idea for our Saturday flights at the chat and wanted to gauge everyone's interest. The basic concept behind the VPC Challenge flights is basically to see who can fly between point A and B the fastest. Some of the basic parameters will include: 1. Everyone will fly the same airplane under the same conditions (both will be set before the event). 2. Time will be kept by the pilot and based on the honor system. 3. No slewing or sim rate changes are allowed. 4. Pilot can select their own route and altitude. 5. The flights will be short enough so the pilot has the opportunity to try different routes. We feel that such flights will provide increased thought about obstacles, weather, density altitude, fuel, and aircraft performance. What do you think? Suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
