One exercise we do out here (actual) is to fly around a set course with pre-arranged ETA,s, timed from take off, at certain VFR fixes, (ie the port wingtip lined up on Morro Bay power station etc.)whereby each leg has to be flown at different speeds etc to achieve the ETA. It,s a good exercise in slow/cruise/fast flight power and attitude settings. We could all select our favourite area (home town advantage for different flights. Again would rely on an honour system, I have grave doubts (knowing some aviators, who shall remain nameless) as to the veracity of the reporting ETA,s Just a thought.
