Yeah, I know. I was only kidding around. You can't get a sign off on that kind of job without someone that knows how it's done watching over what you're doing.

Interesting. I never heard of such a thing, but doesn't surprise me.

I used to work at an FBO that did service on the fleet. I'd occasionally be asked to test fly aircraft being brought back into service. Normally at my stage in life, I wouldn't do such things (too much to lose and I didn't need to build hours, etc.), but the mechanics that performed the work would be on board, so I figured if he thinks he did a good enough job to risk his own butt, it must be OK. 
Anyway, please keep us posted.
