I have a subscription to the magazine and it is very good in my opinion. Format of the October 2002 issue is 84 pages if you count the front and back covers. A brief contents (all from October 2002) is: Regular columns: News and New Releases (4 pgs), Reviews (some programs and some aircraft packages), Online Resources (2 pgs), and Computer Pilot Mailbag (1 pg), Round Robin Adventure (Pacific Domestic Route) (5 pgs), and Ground School (this month's topic Weight and CoG) (6 pgs) Articles: Fly II - A Retrospective (5 pgs) World Airports (Review) (3 pgs) Reality XP's Flight Line Avionics (Review) (3 pgs) Tutorial: Setting up X-Plane Controllers (3 pgs) Windows XP, The Flight Simmer's Choice? (3 pgs) Hardware Corner (4 pgs) Flight 1 Software's Cessna 421 (Review) (4 pgs) Centerfold photo of a F-18 Hornet. Lock On: Modern Air Combat (Preview) (3 pgs) Dogfighting in the NA P-51 Mustang (4 pgs) Eurofighter Typhoon: Operation Icebreaker (Review) (4 pgs) EAA AirVenture 2002 Report (4 pgs) etc .............. That got me up to the end of page 59 so there is mostly articles, but some ads included. Graphics are superb throughout, and text is well written for the articles I have read so far.
