"Known Bug?"

While reviewing fs2002 scenery.cfg it was noted that several mismatches of area numbers and layer numbers existed.

Supposedly the following for any scenery should have the same numbers as in:

.
.
.
Layer=3

After manually correcting the file, a scenery was removed via the fs2002 scenery menu. This resulted in one mismatched scenery number. Is this a known bug in fs2002?

From Al Wheeler:

It probably is a bug and seems to be universal, but it doesn't appear to bite. I have seen my SCENERY.CFG Area and Layer numbers mismatched and the Areas out of numerical sequence but it doesn't cause any problems that I can see. I used to straighten them out with a text editor for the sake of neatness but think it was a waste of time. I've found that eventually FS reorganizes them if you leave them alone. The significant number is the Layer in any case.

Sorry it took a while to get you an answer. Hope it helps!
