The best laid plans . . . . . .
Hope you at least made the VPC flight appointment.
Also hope that everything got sorted out to your satisfaction concerning the reason why you could not meet up with us.
BTW, you really missed a treat at Duxford. Within about 30 minutes of our arrival there, Kit and I were in Hangar One starting to look around and we both heard an engine starting up outside and it sounded just like a Merlin!!
We looked at eachother, and by mutual unspoken agreement dashed outside, and sure enough it was a Merlin, and in a flying Spitfire.
It turns out that the "Grace Spitfire", a two-seater Mk IX that is based at Duxford had the once a year supporters event that day. Carolyn Grace flew two Airshow displays in the Spitfire, one in the morning and one in the Afternoon. Kit and I had the good fortune to be standing at Airshow Center.
All told during my 9 days in the U.K. I saw four Airshow Spitfire flights and one other Spitfire that took off from Duxford and flew away with a Corsair. Kit could not believe my good fortune on this Spitfire Pilgrimage. I even got a free upgrade to Premium economy on the commercial flight home to the states.
I will be sending Ben some representative pictures to post once I get them better sorted out.
Regards,
Melo

Hi Melo,I'm really gutted that I was unable to meet up with you but event's outside my control put the spanner in the works so to speak. Glad you had a great time
Also had my car and it's contents returned but the car is now back in the work shop as I wasn't happy with the repairs
Hope to see you online for our mystery flight this Sunday at 19:00 UTC (Zulu). Don't ask where and by who
as I don't even know myself

Hello guys,
Thanks for this nice flight, as I did not read this post in time I did not have the coordinates, nor an "amphibian". My landing was a bit out of "norme" but in fact I did lost control before landing (my scenery became a "patchwork" , frame rate FPS 1, , not possible to switch the views ..) This did start after I finally had RW online , I could hear you, did you hear me? it looks like RW is interfering with my PC, I will reduce its priority and try again.
I did love this flight.
Sydney is a beautiful city, I like it , in fact I have been "down there" years ago for an extended business trip and I still remember : the Bridge, the Opera, the "Rocks" and the Blue Mountains.. Nice friendly people ...and my friend Ron O'Farrel living near Sydney ..
Regards
Emile

Hi Emile,Glad you made the flight and enjoyed it. Watch this space for the next one. There is a Flight every Sunday at 19:00z/GMT/UTC
Every 2nd Sunday is the Flight Rally.
Don't know the spec's for your pc so can't comment on any of your problems as yet. Could you start another thread with your spec's and we'll take it from there my friend.
