Hi RobertSeeing this I started FS02 and, at the opening screen asked to start at EGDM. Result: immediately got a warning for "scenery library object not found". When I slewed to the location for Stonehenge you won't be surprised to hear that it wasn't there. I guess this is the scenery library object that is missing.

Just tried it - got the missing scenery object message as soon as I did GotoAirport for Boscombe Down, and saw no sign of Stonehenge in FS2002 Pro.Does anyone see it in 2002?
Hi Robert>>Does anyone else here see Stonehenge in FS 2002 Pro?<<
I flew out of Boscombe Down (Gary Summons excellent version) and followed your directions to the junction of A303 and A344. No sign of Stonehenge.Hadn't missed it until you mentioned it.

I took off from Heathrow with a flight plan to
EGDM and dropped down to 1000' in the Baron and
slowed to 100 kts. Had no trouble following your
road directions but all there is in the stock
scenery for FS2002 Pro is autogen houses and trees.I turned right and went back to intercept the radial
and verified that I was at the correct bend in the
road. Still no Stonehenge.Alan
Somewhat off the main topic here, but messing with TerraModels for Fly!2 (rebuilding Norwich airport) I noticed that there's a model for Stonehenge in Fly!. I shall have to go look for it.Andrew Luck

Hi Robert,I can confirm the same message as Paul had - scenery object not found. Maybe we should start a competition to find it! If Microsoft can place the Millennium Dome where the London Eye should be Lord knows where Stonehenge is!
Then again, with the American obsession with all things British maybe someone has pinched it! Try Arizona - that's where London Bridge is <g>.

Ah, another lover of Blackpool! The tower is fine (splendid example of Victorian engineering) but the town is the pits.

The tower is a reasonable piece of Victorian engineering - very clumsy and ham-fisted when compared to the Eiffel Tower that it's copied from. And they've cleaned the sand! It now meets Euro health regulations.

Hi Alan,<< I don't really hate it that much, to be honest.>>
Considering it's a family resport some of the souvenirs are well out of order. My general feeling is the town would do anything for money. How things go if they get this licence to become Las Vegas of the North fills me with dread.
It would be hard to match the beauty of the Eiffel Tower but at least Blackpool has the "Walk of Faith". I'm not sure I have the courage to try it.

My only reasons for visiting Blackpool in the last 30 years have been the airport - I did some time on Cherokees there, and a little more recently, I flew into Blackpool in my microlight. That was a very strange experience, a 30 mph, non-radio aircraft mixing it in the circuit with B737s and various other relatively heavy stuff! The travellers in the departure lounge must have had some choice comments as we puttered past the jets at the terminal.

Hi Alan,Sorry for the delay in replying. I don't seem to be notified when new messages are posted.
<<I assume that's on the Pleasure Beach, I've never heard of it.>>
It's a six foot square of glass sufficiently thick to support the weight of an elephant (allegedly) near the top of the tower (so some 250-300ft up!). It's kept spotlessly clean so gives the impression of being invisible. If you have sufficient faith (or enough mind over matter) you will walk across it (one or two steps will be enough) to the other side and survive. But, as you can see straight down to the ground far below it requires considerable courage. I have yet to be brave enough!
Fascinating story about your microlight. I remember those being all the rage back in the 70's. The new commuter transport someone said! As if! <g>

Show me two things from the Victorian era that were not clumsey and ham-fisted? Shoot, even VR herself was afflicted with "pudgy patty" disease as she got older. (and she wasn't all that graceful to start with)>>I don't really hate it that much, to be honest. Hi TD,You've got to be careful what you say, this side of the pond. Although we abolished the death penalty many years ago, the penalty for high treason is, I believe, still death by beheading!

Funny thing: All of this talk about Blackpool has gone in one ear and out the other since I had no idea what you guys are were talking about, but I'm watching PBS last night (Public Broadcasting System channel here in the US), and a show called "Antiques Roadshow UK" comes on and where's it taking place this week? That's right, Blackpool! They showed a picture of the tower, so now I know what you guys have been commenting on. It's a small world and TV makes it even smaller.
Anyway, the images that they showed makes Blackpool look like New York's Coney (sp?) Island.

Hi Ben,Nice coincidence, sure is a small world now.
There are stories of pilots circling the town's tower looking for the airport, only to see the congested town centre - "join overhead 2000 feet, the signals square is next to the tower".

Hello ,
I did find this, please read the "read me"
http://simviation.com/fs2002scenery15.htmRegards
Emile
EBBR
Hi Emile,Thanks for that info. His instructions weren't very clear so I created a new folder under FS2002\SCENERY called STONEHENGE and two sub-folders under that called SCENERY and TEXTURE. I placed the BGL in the SCENERY folder and the BMP in the TEXTURE folder.
I then created a new scenery layer in FS2002 called STONEHENGE and pointed FS2002 to the SCENERY\STONEHENGE folder. A couple of clicks and then slewed to the co-ordinates in the top message and there it is!
I'd attach a JPG but I don't think the software supports it
