Just a thought James, would that info not be on Roy Chaffin's site since he was involved with that exceptional DC3 for FS2k (and now FS2k2)?
I seem to remember you flying that a/c for Sancho's memorial flight so is there nothing in the manual?

James,Did you purchase the CD from Mid Atlantic Air Museum or
(tsk, tsk) just download the file? Either way it's
donationware now. I have the CD, which contains a flight
manual but havn't had time to look it up.
Head over to http://www.DC3airways.com
where there are some downloads.
There is a file on how to fly the DC-3 which includes
throttle and prop settings that get the most out of the
sound package and also give you realistic airspeeds
although the FS2K2 flight model flies a little faster
than the FS2K model.
to paraphrase Charles Wood
"happy landings, tail low"

Here are a few things I got from the MAAM R4D CD,
WWII ManualRecommended Takeoff, Maximum Gross, 29,300 lb
Restricted Takeoff, Maximum Gross, 31,000 lb
Recommended Landing, Maximumu Gross, 26,000 lb
Cruising Speed @ 10,000' 185 mph TAS
Stalling Speed 67 mph TAS
Service Ceiling 24,100
Range, 6,000-8,000' @ 19,000-23,000 lb 810 mi, 5:21 min
Range, 6,000-8,000' @ 29,000-31,000 lb, 648 mi, 3:56 min
(the range at higher altitudes was not much different)
That should get you flying more realistically <g>
I never see more than 140 kts at around 5,000'

Speaking of DC-3's, how's the flight around the Pacific going, Tarmack?

Ben,
Thanks for asking. Grin!
I have been in the Cook Islands (Leg 33) for the past week while enduring heavy maintenence on my instruments. Once I purchased the first Nvidia Ti 4600 card, for my server........it wasn't long before I had to add 3 more Nvidia's....but this time the GeForce 440 cards.
So, now........my main 4 screens of outside views are all Nvidia driven...and the improvement in frame rates is simply remarkable........these cards MUST really unload the CPU from some of its work and allow a frame rate boost.
I am going back to the Cook Islands today and re-start the rest of the tour....as I await the 747MCP from AerosoftAustralia....soon to ship.
As you might imagine.........my DC-3 has the very latest in navigation equipment and the Magenta CDU and MCP sure makes navigating over water much easier!
As a question back to you or any other reader.....any one have any information on a Jan Visser new release of the DC-3 for FS2K2. We certainly NEED the Virtual cockpit in this airplane.

Cap'n Tarmack
