In case anyone missed it, there is a new clouds utility out there for FS2k2, functions a bit similar to the old FSClouds but this one is free!

Check out http://simflight.com/fsw/ for details.

Vulcan... are you using the FSW Sky utilities? Is it really better than stock FS2002? Better in what way? I've been skeptical of some of these types of things because some of the criticisms I've read of FS2002's clouds I don't agree with. Also, FS2002 is so good that I don't see the point of paying for an add-on. But, if it's free and it's really better then I would probably go to the trouble of downloading it. I looked at the site and the thunder sounds seem like a good thing.

Rick,

I guess the bottom line is, if you are happy with the stock clouds why change, on the other hand as the FSW clouds and 'randomiser' are free it won't hurt to take a look.

If you do decide to try back up the default cloud bmps first then you can always go back.

I have only just installed them so haven't played with them much but they don't seem to impact on frame rates, so that's a good thing :-)
