"Berne rally route"
Posted by andrewluck on 01-13-02 at 19:05z
I'm looking for a flight route from either Heathrow (EGLL) or Norwich (EGSH) to Berne. Whilst I could generate one with FSBuild, a real one generally looks better. Also, has anyone got suitable approach charts?Andrew Luck

Hi Andrew,I've had a look at Jeppesen Euro Charts but it's not listed (BERN - LSZB). No doubt there will be some some place. I'll keep looking.
Regards,
James.

Andrew,I have just checked on the Swiss VATSIM site and they do not appear to have any charts for download
Since the demise of the FSS project charts have become difficult to obtain for Europe.
I ended up generating a FP in FSNav, at least I can SEE the airways with that
. I do use FSbuild but have found the UK and Europe routes a little suspect in that the airways are not always the same as in FSNav.
If the FSNav route is of any use give me a shout and I will e-mail it to you; it is from EGCC though, not from EGLL or EGSH

VulcanIf you could post the waypoint list here then I can import that into FSBuild, modify it for a Norwich departure and then export for Fly!2. I'm not familiar with any of the European airways.
Looks like I'll be taking a Hawker 800 as the route's rather short for the 777 (and so is the runway at Norwich
).
Thanks

G,day Andrew, I,m not going to bother with a flight plan, intend propping on Lake Biel (approx 25nm W of LSZB) in the Cessna Amphibian till nearing ETA then heading over.

VulcanThanks for that. Looks great. I'll get it into Fly!2 either tomorrow or Saturday ready for a Sunday afternoon flight.
I've already checked around Bern in the sim and all the navaids are present and correct, along with the ils. Some stunning mountain scenery around there although I have no airport models.
Looks like a trip for the business jet as the 757 hasn't turned up yet.
