"Multiplayer clarification, please"

Ben -

Still confused a bit about multiplayer. The other evening when Andy's flight started, My fs2k2 fired up in my default flight which put me at Brackett Field, in a Corsair at night. I ultimately figured out to select the prioper airport and luckily picked a runway that noone was on and went from there.

What is the proper procedure for getting situated after you click join and the game starts?

Also, is it possible and proper ettiquette to join a flight in progress and how do you do that?

Thanx,

Vic

Unless it's discussed prior to launching the session from FlyNow!, there's no way to tell where the flight will take place. Once we integrate FlyNow! into the FlightRooms, it'll be easier since the Controller/Host will be able to post the flight specifics in the FlightRoom.

Well, as you saw, our flights on Sat's are pretty informal. If you're involved with more serious online flying, my suggestion would be to save a flight at that respective airport with your aircraft parked on the ramp or runup area. Once the session launches, load the corresponding saved flight.

Joining an existing session is currently only possible via IP (we're working on that feature for a future version of FlyNow!/FlightRooms). The best way to find the current IP is by asking the Controller/Host what his IP address is. If you don't know what an IP address is or how to join via IP, we can go over that.

Hope this helps!
Ben
