"FS2k2 GPS"

After loading a flightplan and while actually into the route, is there a way to tell FS2K2 GPS to skip to the next waypoint? Had an interesting flight. Set up a FP from KMSP to KORD in flightplanner. The route took me north of the airport and then turn back over the airport and proceed SE to KORD. The KMSP tower cleared me to t/o to the SE and vectored me to intercept the GPS route to KORd but when I sync'd in the GPS it immediately reversed course to go to the first waypoint. ATC kept vectoring me back to the SE but any time I tried to use the GPS......back to the first w/p. Thought there was a way to skip to the next w/p but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know how?

Thx,

Vic

I haven't had time to load up FS2K2 yet, but this was a missing "feature" in FS2K. I asked about whether it was fixed in FS2K2 a long time ago and was told that FS2K2's GPS is the same as FS2K's. That was a long time ago, so I can't verify what happened in the release version yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if it remained unchanged.

The only thing I can suggest is use the Direct feature. Of course the problem with doing that is it erases your current flight plan!

Yea, that's a bummer. Oh well, I have FSNAV 4.5 and I can create the f/p there, tweak it to my liking and then export/import into FS2K2 flightplanner. It would work that way.

Can't believe MS left that out again :(
