Of course if there's something that you'd like to see here that we haven't thought of, please let us know. One of the biggest advantages we all considered when we were deciding whether to build this place on our own or build it at yet another huge online service is we have direct control over what'll be done here if we went at it ourselves. We don't have the bureaucracy that we had to deal with, and since we're the only thing going, we'll never be shuffled into the low-priority bin.

Please consider sticking around and participate in building the VPC into what we've all envisioned over the years. Most of us have worked "behind the scenes" and/or "in the trenches" for big online services for years. We've seen what works and what's wrong with them. In our eyes the VPC is our best chance to build something that can enhance the best things we've learned and either fix or eliminate the problems we didn't have control over in the past.

But most of all, since we've become part of the communities where we worked, we genuinely appreciate and know first hand the value of the community. I believe this is our biggest strength. I think this is simply because the online services that have forsaken us have forgotten what made them great in the first place. This is something we'll never forget since we lived it first hand.

Just want to jump in here and add my Welcome to those you've already received.

I agree that this place is already "lookin' good" and it can only get better. I remember back when I was thinking about taking some flight training, an old time pilot said "And the best part of having a license is that you get to hang around airports and the people who hang out there"

The same can be said about here - again WELCOME!!
