"Just visiting"

Hi All

Just popped in to have a quick look round before I hit the sack tonight. Courtesy of Greenie's message in CSI's Gamers forum I thought it would be rude not to at least call in and say hi.

Love the welcome picture but the clock's wrong - leastways it's not showing UTC!

See y'all later when I've a few more minutes to spare and good luck with this venture.

Hey Paul,

What a pleasure to see ya here!

>>Love the welcome picture but the clock's wrong - leastways it's not showing UTC!<<

HA!! I'm not the only one then. I've been here for over a month complaining to the "bosses" that the UTC clock was wrong. I only found out today that it's a 24 hour clock, so it's right after all. Thanks for making me feel not so dumb! <g> I told them they should put numbers on it ;-)

LOL! That explains it then. Should have clicked on it to see it full size. My eyes weren't at their best last night :-)

Hi Greenie

This is off topic I know but, in my user profile, there's a 'signature' option. How does this work? I'm guessing that, if I put data in here, that signature is automatically appended to any messages I post as per Ozwin.

Am I right??

Paul

Yup, very similar. What you'll see is the signature line at the bottom of any post you make. Your text of the post is entered above, and that's it. Just like this:

OK, cheers Greenie. Been to my profile and changed it accordingly.

BTW, I like the way I can now easily see any new messages. (Not so) slowly but surely this site's getting there. I suspect it will soon be the No 1 site for discerning flight simmers.

Hi Paul
Now don't go running off so fast! Hang around for a while lots of good things to come. We're just getting started here and Ben has a number of surprises up his sleeve destined to make this a worthwhile place to visit and even to sit a spell and spin a few yarns....

I'm looking forward to finding out what they all are. This place looks really exciting. Just wonder what it's going to do to my phone bill <g>

Good to see a few familiar names, thanks to Greenie for posting the new website.

Hope to continue the fine traditions of the FS Forum

Hi Paul,

you are right, the clock shows Central European Time which is UTC +1 hour, in other words it's one hour fast....

Great site!

Greetings Juergen:

OK, I'll let everyone in on a secret--the UTC clock is only as accurate as your system clock. We're really only interpreting what your system clock tells the app. :)

Hi James

Nice to see the old familiar faces here. The Gamers forum's picked up a bit since FS2k2 hit the streets so, what with reading that and trying to get work done, I've not looked in here for a day or three.

Haven't got my FS2k2 yet :-( I pre-ordered from RC Simulations and, come this morning, it still hadn't arrived so I phoned and cancelled it.

I plan to order from buy.com now 'cos their price is so good but I haven't got around to it yet because work keeps getting in the way and, even if I got it tomorrow, I couldn't have a good play with it for at least another week so I've put it on hold for now. Maybe I'll still be looking come Saturday week, in which case I'll probably pick up a copy at the show.

See y'all there.

Paul
