Hey Trev,

Good to see ya pop in!

>>join a competitve forum called simgames?<<

That's where you're wrong my friend. SIMGAMES (SIMPILOT), AVSIM, FLIGHTSIM, et al are *not* competition here. We're simply trying to start a NEW community learning from the mistakes from all other in the past (FSFORUM included). All are welcome...or not. Our mission here is intelligent, non flaming discussion for real and simulated aviation...much like FSFORUM used to be. We have some surprises here as well, that everyone will enjoy...in due course <g>.

Welcome aboard!

Greenie

P.S. How's your baby? I'm not sure if you know, but we also had our first almost 2 years ago. A handful, but a JOY!

Hi Mike,

Eeeks.. calm down, I was only joking <grin>...

Yeah.. baby is doing GREAT !! He is now 16 months old (Alex), but promise me you'll take a look at this pic... I made this forum from scraps out of my garage one sunny day.. (link below)..

How's yours? yeah, I know, a handful indeed, not a lot time on the sim at a time with FS2002 and you need to be simming a lot <grin>.

Anyway.. here is the link to the baby pic..(go take a look, you'll be surpised)..

Hi Ben,

Thanks... actually I made a mistake, I placed the link into my previous post for Mike to just click upon and errm.. well the picture attached itself in the post. Hope its ok?.

FS2002.. wow.. what a sim eh?? And then this new LAGO scenery designer coming soon, we havent seen the like of that since FS4!!

This new sim (FS2K2) has turned the hobby full circle.. many simmers talking about the good ole days of FS5 etc.. We really have a good release here. Many simmers who were hiding come out of the woods totally revitalized again (me included).
I cannot tell you how many old faces I have spoken to since the new release, there have been many.

No problem. If it's aviation related, it's welcome! I love seeing airplanes--whether they're jet-A powered or pedal powered! :)

Hi Ben,

Actually I tow him with this with a tow bar (that is what the hook is for at the front) rather like the red wagon thing kids have.
In the front is a speaker, it was used to record 50 second long, baby sounds. So, I recorded the Sopwith Camel start up sound and cruise from FS and now, you just press a button and it has sounds too.

In the summer.. I was towing him all over the place, heads would turn and he just loves it. I made sure too, that his first real flight was on a DC-3, I took him up at 4 months old.. but.. he fell aslepp most of the way through it. <g>

Like I say, I made it out of wood left over from my deck and painted it up.

Regards... Trev.

Hehe, as Ben say's no problem at all. That thing is awesome. Problem is that my wife saw it, and slapped me asking, "WHY HAVEN'T YOU MADE THAT FOR DUSTIN!!??"

Got blueprints?? <g>

Hi Mike,

Yeah my neighbours said I could be making $1000's out of this. To Tell you the truth, I made it in a single day and painted it. I just made it up as I went a long. Got rid of a lot of those scraps of wood out of my garage anyway. <g>

Hey Mike,

I have to tell you something...

My dream come true just this year.. I flew our DC-3 in both the left and right seat during our airshow circuit in summer. I had total control each flight during cruise for about 30 minutes each time. Imagine how I felt? WOW!!

One other thing...

I have tried in the past.. desperately to get in touch with dear old friend John Kelley. Anyone know of his e-mail address or how he is doing at least? And if someone is in touch with him, please pass on a 'Hello' from me.

I can *only* imagine, since I've never had the experience. Way to go!

No problem, at least tomorrow <g>. John "Video" Kelly is still frequenting the GAMERS forum on Compuserve. I don't have his address on this rig, but, I'll pass it along tomorrow. He needs a new home too, and this place is looking pretty cozy!

Mike
