What cracks me up are the shots of them trying to move down a narrow street with buildings/houses yeilding just a couple of feet of leeway on either side. You'd think they'd plan the process better than build the factory somewhere where they'd have to move parts that big on streets that narrow.

I didn't get why the parts were being put on boats etc. for a while, but have concluded (perhaps wrongly) that since AirBus is a EU project, each EU country probably gets to build pieces of their product (as opposed to it more or less completely built in one region). So there'd be a lot of moving involved.

How they can make the product competitive financially with that kind of extra overhead must be a feat in itself!

BTW, did you see Flight Plan yet? While they don't call the airplane in it an A380, I think it's as close as we've seen so far what it would be like to fly in one. Simply massive.
