djpacro Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: 2. "RE: First Contest" 06-04-03, 11:58z  The first time I visited the USA, back in the mid-80's, I went to the Warrenton contest. Some-one kindly offered me his S-2S to fly. I do recall encountering some bugs that we don't have in Australia but I survived. I came back again the next year and I was unable to line up an airplane in advance so at dinner the first night Linda persuaded a young gentleman to loan me his S-1T. First time I'd ever flown an S-2S or S-1T. The weather turned bad at the second contest and we didn't get to fly the contest but I taught a few locals how to throw a boomerang. I know that many of the faces would have changed since then but I'm sure that they're just as friendly. Say G'Day to Di & Don if you see them.
