Well, not having a sectional on board would explain it! Then again, I'd imagine the airspace system is different down under, so flying in the US is new to you. Other than aeroplanner.com, I don't know of any sources of online sectionals. (Aeroplanner costs money to download electronic versions of sectionals). I have expired sectionals of the area here that you can have for free, but by the time you pay shipping to Australia, it may be expensive. If you're interested, I suppose I can put together a package like I made up for Guido and find out how much it would cost to ship to you. Let me know.
