"FS98 and 2000"
07-16-01, 01:34z

I installed both of the above in my computer. Now I want to uninstall FS98. I heard the rumour that the uninstallation of FS98 now will affect FS2000. Is it true?

That rumour is untrue. FS98 and FS2000 are stand-alone games and are completely separate of each other in their installs.
Just be sure to uninstall FS98 using the uninstall option from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and you should be fine.

Ditto, of course, unless you've installed FS2K into your FS98 folder. If you've done that, all bets are off. :)

My origional ambition is to install boths so that I can play boths.May be I should say I am a little bit greedy. I find out I never enjoy FS98 anymore after seeing the graphic of FS2000. I like to see whelther there are any others having the same feeling like me.Now FS2002 is coming and I hope I will not go into the same temptation again.

I am with yah. I currently have fs98 and 2000 installed. The main reason for having fs98 installed is because other people that do not have fs2000 we can not use the multi-player. The scenery and aircraft are much nicer in fs2000 so it is my sim of choice.
