Found the answer to my own question if anyone is interested. There is a Plugin for FSDS (ver 1.5 or above) which allows conversion to *.dxf format which GMax will accept as an input. Worked like a charm. My project is in GMax now. The plugin can be found from a link in the freeflightdesign site in the Utilities section. I also found a good GMax tutorial on the web called "The Stupid Idiots' Guide to starting with gMax" By Hugh Shoults.
