"RE: Headset" 08-05-02, 12:03z  Hello Ben, The Web page you mentioned described a bit of a bodge (I presume that "schlocked" means the same thing<g>) which I didn't fully understand anyway. But on that page there is a link: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/adapter.htm to a page where the author details the issues involved in properly connecting a real headset to the PCs soundcard.
