"Identified building near Seattle Space Needle"
04-25-02, 06:40z

I identified that interesting building in FS 2002 near the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, USA. It is one of those ultra modern buildings with a lot of unusual angles and curved surfaces. It has zig-zagging bands of what appears to be neon lights extending onto its roof.

The building is a music museum called the Experience Music Project (emp). The museum is marked with a circular emblem with the museum's initials in lower case letters. It does not appear in the default scenery of earlier Flight Simulator versions.

A nearby seaplane airport: Kenmore (WA57)
A nearby land airport: Boeing King Co (KBFI)
VOR Frequency: 116.80 (SEA)
VOR Radial: 330
DME: 11.0

The EMP was built by Paul Allen, cofounder of Microsoft... if my memory serves me correctly.

The stadium is Sick's Seattle Stadium, the original owner of the Rainier Brewery, Sick was a supporter of the old Pacific Coast League in baseball, and I think the other large building is the arena where the Seattle Thunderbirds, an International League Hockey team plays during the winter. As with everything else in 2k2, the number of real buildings makes it look less like a city, even on the highest level of AutoGen
