Heh heh - I was most disappointed - didn't see much. Heard a lot, though, listening in on the scanner.

I have one of the scan bands set up as 'Air Show', so when I heard the sounds of the first aircraft at about 1400 on the Saturday, on it went. Nice to listen to the air to air channel (123.45 MHz) every year.

The winds were not kind to me this year - from the South - so most of the action took place over the Northern side of Southport. Most of the aircraft use Warton anyhow. Saw a couple of Harriers, but that is about all.

Your three a/c weren't the Memorial Flight by any chance ? I get misty eyesight every time I see that formation of three. <g>

No, knowing you - you would KNOW those aircraft - sorry I can't help you there.

Last year - I really enjoyed it. Since I live some 9 miles to the South, I usually see a lot of action. Especially when the Red Arrows pay us a visit.
