davidb Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: "ISA Ports and Game Controllers" 02-11-02, 21:25z  I've noticed many of you are upgrading to Athlon ~2Gb processors. Looking at motherboard specs in anticipation of upgrading I noticed that the latest boards don't seem to have ISA slots and I guess all will end up like this. Apart from "going USB" has anybody found a good games PCI controller card to run classic CH products -yoke, pro pedals and throttle? In the past I've tried using the inbuilt sound / games "card" on my Abit VL6 but it was hopeless with one sided drift that couldn't be countered. I reverted to my Thrustmaster games card which works fine. The thought of spending ~£300 extra to replace otherwise good kit when I upgrade the processor doesn't appeal. The previous motherboard that I had was an Abit SE6 and the game port on that was hopeless. I switched to the gameport on my SoundBlaster PCI128 card and I didn't have any trouble with it. I have the same soundcard and the gameport also works just fine. From my experience, most PCI soundcard gameports work just fine. Best advice, buy from a store that allows returns.
