Hi Mel,No need for the translation of the first note...I got it <g>. You're more than welcome. Ya know there are so many "nay-sayers" and anti-MS folks in our midst, and I just wish that MS could make the beta forums "public." If so, these folks might sing a different tune. MS *does* listen to the testers, and the dev team (for whatever product) does whatever is within their power to satisfy us.
Points in case regarding WinXP:
Including multi monitors in the home version (initially only the pro version had that capability)
Including the ipx/spx network protocols
Taking some of the teeth out of product activation. That includes, the 120 day reset of the pid key, and moving from 4 hardware changes to 6
Putting the netbui protocol back in (although it's in a buried directory on the cd). They *really* balked at that <g>
...and many other minor, niggly problems that were fixed that weren't really "bugs" per-se.
No OS or flight sim will ever be perfect, but MS is doing things right, and they're most certainly closer than anyone else at this point. I challenge *ANYONE* that types M$ over MS to show me another company that gives as much bang for the buck than most MS products! Hell, for 69 bucks (US) I'll probably have 1000 hours in on FS2002 before FS2004 is released. I think that's about $0.07 per hour? I won't even do the math on my copy of WinXP that runs 24/7 on my main computer at a retail price of $99US <g>.
OK, off my soapbox...fer now <g>.
So....MallMack finally made you move to the garage??? <VBG>
