"Sancho Memorial Flight In-Progress Reports"
01-20-02, 00:34z

Left home in Georgia this morning for Keflavik, Iceland and landed safely.

The wind is high and the Lear is pushing hard to hold position as we land.

FS2K2 never ceases to amaze me. The night runways are jumping around like crazy as I taxi to the fuel station. Tanks don't fill (guess they're out of fuel). I'll figure that out in the morning. I'm aggravated with FS2K2 as I taxi to the terminal and stop beside a commercial aircraft that's parked near the terminal.

Then, the most amazing thing happens. As I shut down the Lear's engines, I see the commercial jet's landing light's come on and then the engines start. My aggravation changes to this incredible look of surprise and pleasure on my face. And so, I forgive the program again!

If they ever get it ALL right at the same time, I don't know what I'll do. Right know, it's certainly a love/hate relationship. But it is also great fun.

I'm writing this right before dinner, and then off to bed.

See you in Bern.

Ed

Hi Ed,

Touched down early since I have to be elsewhere during the actual Rally. Saw there were to be a few of Sancho's Connie's flying in, but since I couldn't find one of those for FS2002, loaded something 'of the vintage' - a Douglas C-124 MATS. Not the prettiest pony in the stable but it got me from Berlin Tempelhof to Bern in one piece <g>.

Seemed a shame to waste the space so if you look under the right wheel chock for the keys, you'll find its bay can hold a few cases of beer. Not Lee's 747, but it'll do in a pinch.

Enjoy the flight in. Pretty wx for flying this AM.

Mark
