Greetings!Last night at the chat, one of the trivia questions was: "What is the fastest around-the-world flight time in a jet?"
It occurred to me that it might be pretty cool to try and reproduce these flights or even set new records in FS. We could have teams of pilots fly legs online (save the flight and pass it on to the next pilot to continue flying).
What do you think? We'd have to establish some rules, etc., but anyone interested?
Just FYI, the speed record with stops averaged 811.46mph in Concorde (1995) going Eastbound. The record for non-stop around-the-world flight is held by the USAF in a B-1 in 1995 (36 hours, 13 mins, 36 secs.), and of course, the record for non-stop non-refueled around-the-world flight is held by ##### Rutan and Jeana Yeager in Voyager (115.65 mpg average). Finally, the around-the-world over the poles record is held by a Boeing 747SP with an average speed of 487.31 with three fuel stops.
