"Korean Airlines does it again!"
01-11-02, 21:19z

Is this an aft CG or what?! ;P

I received this from Pat Duncan:
============================================
From a good fried of mine this AM.....

Good ole Korean Air is at it again!!!!! Seems they had a minor problem on the ramp in Sydney yesterday!

Maybe KAL needs to translate the weight placards from Korean to "Aussie" language ????

Or maybe a little loadmaster training is in order???

Or maybe the crew was bored and was practicing Vr's at the gate????

Anything is possible with KAL!!!!

Hope nobody was standing on the inboard end of the aft loading platform.... that would have been a thrill !!!

Should be an interesting insurance claim too !!!

Cheers....

Gang,

Korean Airlines is the ONLY airline in the world, that our NWA ALPA was successful in obtaining a NO DEADHEAD clause in our contract.

In other words.......if NWA needed to "move" a crew from Seoul to Hong Kong, Taipei, or Narita.......we did NOT have to ride on KAL.

Grin.

We would wait, in earlier years for Pan Am and in later years for other International airlines, for a different departure time other than KAL.

The 007 flight was a major factor in this.....the cockpits of that airline are run by a "potentate", the Captain....and the rest of the crew seem to be nothing than automans serving his wishes.

Regards,

Cap'n Tarmack
