"FS2002 B777"
12-20-01, 22:10z

The B777 flies nicely on my set-up now that I've calmed down its excessive default max thrust using FS2002 Edit.

However, I find taxying the 777 less than satisfactory because when trying to carry out a tight turn the nosewheel will turn to 90deg somewhere about half travel of the CH Pro pedals which then stops the aircraft. It's very tricky to avoid the point at which this occurs.

I don't want to change the pedals sensitivity because all the other aircraft steer well with pedal movement up to max travel.

Is it possible to change a parameter or two in the B777's files to correct this effect?

Maurice (UK)

Hi Maurice

Do you want to let others (like me) in on the secret? I, too, find it a pain in the butt.

Hello Paul,

Sorry about the delay in replying to you post. I'm not completely used to this forum yet. It would help if the e-mail notification of a message was checked by default. (But I always liked to be spoonfed<g>).

Adjust the max gear steering angle in FSEDIT. I find that a setting of 55deg much better. If you can't find that setting in FSEDIT post back.

Regards,

M. (1DME N Gatwick)

Is FSEDIT a commercial app or is it somewhere on the FS2k2 CDs?

Hi Paul,

>> Is FSEDIT a commercial app or is it somewhere on the FS2k2 CDs? <<

You'll find it in the same place as it was in FS2000 mate. In the FS root Directory.

Have fun and Happy Flying

Regards,

James.

Ah, best I go and have a look then. Time for some more tinkering. Thanks for the heads up.
