"A Vintage Engine pulling a New Airplane"
12-17-01, 16:36z

Gang,

Well, some could say I am trying to make up for lost time...after a couple of months of being quiet on this forum...but if I don't make this post soon, my link will evaporate as the pages of the calendar are turned!

If you click onto the link below you should be "slewed" to the Experimental Aviation Association Web(EAA) site and their feature article, for December, in Sport Aviation.

I happen to know this airplane quite well and I hope that you get to know her better also !

http://eaa.org/benefits/sportaviation/decfeat.html

This is the cover shot of the December edition...

Regards,

Mel Ott

Fabulous! When I said that I thought that pix was calendar material--can I call 'em or what? :)

Merry Merry!

Ben,

Yup, you got good eyes !!

I recently learned that the same airplane, the Curtiss Falcon, will also get a page in the official 2002 EAA calendar.....and when I get my hands on that calendar the scanner is going to show it to you!

Just saw your Press Release on the front page of AVSIM.....Flight Adventures is TAKING OFF !

My son Randy and I ran into Patty Wagstaff at the Flager County Airport late last month....Randy was entered in an IAC aerobatic competition....and Patty flew in with her current LOVE......a good lookin Piper J3 Cub!

Regards,

Mel

Greetings Mel:

Well, we're really only just "turning on to the runway" (getting started). There's MUCH more to come. Stay tuned!

Looking forward to the calendar scan.

Best!
Ben

Rick,

It ain't hard to drag me any place these days....gotta lotta free time !

Just got back from cleaning the oil off of the belly of the Curtiss Falcon....a monthly task with a radial engine....but also a task that allows you to get closer to your airplane. Grin.

Regards,

Mel
