This is a 90 percent announcement and a 10 percent question.
I propose a Fly_Now multiplayer session suitable for European time zones. However, I am a beginner at VPC and inexperienced with FS multiplayer using the INTERNET. I would like to try and this and see what happens. This what I propose:
On Saturday, December 15, 2000zulu, I am going to launch a "game" and anyone who wants to join is welcome. Here is some help:At 2000zulu it is:
2100h in Munich, Berne and all places in those countries
8 pm in Heathrow, Ponterfact, Dean Forest, Manchester and all places in the UK
4 pm in Breezie Point, New York, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami
3 pm at Meigs Field, Chicago
1 pm in Glendale and San Luis Obispo (KSBP)
I will launch a FS 2002 "game" called "test" (no password). I'll be waiting at the foot of the tower of KSBP, facing S, in the standard Cessna C182RG Skylane. This aircraft has the tail number HB-OWV in memory of my first solo flight in a Piper L4. My call sign will be "Sancho". I don't know anything about KSBP, but I do know that there will be helpful members to come to my rescue if I crash in the nearby hills.
If I execute WINIPCFG.EXE (in Windows) after connecting, I will know what my IP address is, but I don't know how to communicate this info to other players who might want to join. Maybe our VPC staff can put out an addendum and corrections to my plan if necessary. Happy landings.
