"floaters and corp. pilot"

Hi yall,
two questions please. First, is there an easy way to change the cfg/air files in converted floatplanes so they operate on water as do the default a/c? I know a tutorial in this regard would be greatly appreciated! Sad to watch my seaplanes sink into the deep blue each time I land.

Also, have enjoyed using a/c from both corporate pilot and private pilot by Abucus Pub. when I brought the a/c over to fs2k2 from fs2k, all worked fine except the Cessna 441 Conquest and the Rockwell Commander. The engines on these two quit soon after the a/c is selected. No way to get them started after this, then the 'end flight' dialog box comes up. I can take off in another a/c and switch to one of the affected a/c and all is well, but I'm afraid I'll fall out next time I again change aircraft in mid-air :) anybody else haveing these problems? Have addressed it with Abucus, but they simply say that all a/c in both products are completely convertible from fs2k to fs2002.

No other greater assemblage of flight sim talent than are assembled here. You're 100% on solving my (flightsim) problems over the last 7 years (going back to the fsforum). As always your help is most apprecitated!

Blessings,
Donn

I don'thave FS2K2 installed so I can't comment with any knowledge or experience, but back in FS98 days I had similar things happening with third party aircraft. The "fix", then, was to start with a default aircraft, start the engines and then switch to the aircraft of your choice. Much the same as you are now doing, except change on the ground not while in the air - less dangerous and you need to be less acrobatic. A slow walk between airplanes is acceptable :-)
