Loop4fun Certificates/Ratings/Crew Stations: 4. "RE: Advice for Emergency Dead Stick..." 12-25-04, 03:08z  As I understand, the Extra landing gear is designed to fold back under stress so as not to flip the airplane upside down as easily as a Pitt's gear would for example. It worked for me...had plenty of fuel and a brand new engine. So it happens.
