"Radios FS2K2"
11-08-01, 03:10z

IN FS2K2 is it possible to disable the 25Khz & 100Khz radio tuning when manually tuning. The auto tuning is great but being "old fashioned" still like to manually tune... ie not having to increase/decrease in so many increments (or mouse clicks) Plays up with the old athritis! :)
TIA for any info.
Regards, AndyC

Hi Andy:

I still haven't loaded FS2K2 yet, but I'd imagine if it can be done you'll find the command under the command assignments dialogues. Check in there.

I don't know if this will help, but the increase and decrease increment keys ( - = ) used to be factorable by pressing the shift key at the same time. Don't know if that'll work in FS2K2, but it's worth a try.

BTW, did you manage to find the VPC Membership signup area of the Pilot Shop? Better hurry, the "early bird" sale ends tomorrow. :)

The same works in FS2002. The increase/decrease are pretty fast and the shift increase/decrease are very fast. I've programmed by CH gear so I can select a radio, then use a hat switch to do the increase/decrease or do the shift of them.

I didn't see anywhere to change the Khz steps in any of the options in FS2002. If you happen to use a wheel mouse, you can use the wheel to tune the radios, OBS, altimiter. It works great for large and small movements.

Many thx Randy and Grunt, I also cannot find how to alter the Khz steps as in FS2k, the idea of the wheel mouse sounds good.
Looks like I missed out on the "goodies" Ben, not to worry have printed out the Order Information form and will get it off ASAP
Regards
Andy.
