G,day guys,

Could anyone please advise.

In FS9/Scenery cfg. listed files, should the Heading the list the {AREA.001] matches Layer=01
however scrolling down amongst the Addon scenery files the numbers no longer match. ?
Also should the individual areas be seperated by a blank line, again at the start they are and amongst the Addon,s they are not.
I have on occasion in addition to adding scenery deleted unwanted scenery files, would this be the cause of the lack of continuity in the numbers.
Would this affect my scenery display and is it in order to "tidy up" and match the Area & Layer numbers
TIA for any advice,
Regards,
Andor

Here's what I know:

- The order of listings decides which scenery has display priority.
- Blank entries will slow your system down (very minor--perhaps imperceptible on fast systems, but there nevertheless).
- The names/numbers don't need to match the entry. What's important is the order/sequence. However, deviating from the default may become an issue in the future (some add-on scenery may look for specific things being in specific places, etc.).

Hope this helps!

Ben

G,day Ben,

Many thanks for the info. that is what I was mainly concerned about as my Area and Layer numbers sometimes are way out. I am carefully altering them to match each other whilst noting their present numbers, so far no problems I can see.
