"Mar. 7 Multiplayer Route?"

What routeing would everybody like to fly?

What plane would everybody like to fly?

A plane slower than the P-38 would require a shorter route than the ones we have been flying over the last several weeks. I have been thinking some of the classic planes like the Piper, the DC-3 or the Ford Trimotor might be a nice change. The DC-3 and Trimotor should be close enough speed wise to the Barron for FS 2002 pilots to follow along. We could also fly from or to a lake or harbor with the Cessna float plane. some of the conventional gear planes can be a bit tricky steering during taxi though.

Ideas:

  1. Edwards AFB to KSBP in P-38s

  2. Fresno, Bakersfield or Santa Barbara to KSBP in DC-3s, Trimoter Barron or Kingair

  3. Paso Robles or Santa Maria / Hancock to KSBP in the Piper or one of the WW I biplanes.

I haven't looked into the flight times for any of these yet, but have flown the Paso Robles route durring some of the more informal flights and it takes something like 45 or 50 minutes.

Hi guys:

I won't be able to attend the flight this week, but you might consider flying some of the flight plans we've flown before again. However, with someone else flying lead. I think will help build confidence and you'll gain a better understanding of the processes involved.

Just a thought...

I agree with Ben - let's refly one and let someone else lead. Could be good experience at following a course and working with the mixture to get the most out of the p-38.

Either way, I'll fly whatever anyone decides.
