Hi Guy's,

Just to keep you all in the picture (so to speak) and to let you all know I'm still around <s>. Been busy working for a couple of weeks and last week end I ended up in Hospital for a while after suffering a Stroke!!

I just thought it was muscle spasm's but, some Consultant stated it was a stroke. Now having to take some time off work and take it easy.

Hope to see you all around for some time though <s>.

Regards,

James (CONman) Anderson

Man, I'm sorry to hear that James. No ill effects from the stroke? Other than rest is there any other therapy you are on?

Keep us up to date my friend!

Hi Mike,

No ill effects from the stroke that I can complain about. The right side of this here body <s> still has a few aches and pains. Medication I'm on at present gives me more grief than any thing else <g>. Having to give up smoking is harder than they say to <g>.

Hopefully I'll find out a bit more when I see the Doc tomorrow.

Shock is right! We're very relieved that you made it through well. Please let us know what the doctors say.

You're in our prayers.

Hi James

Sorry to hear this. Do as your told and give up those fags. It's only mind over matter; you just need a jolt to get you going. Your stroke is that timely jolt. Take heed.

I gave up the weed in 1971 - was upto 60 a day. It was hard but I have never regretted it.

Warmest regards and best wishes
Frank

Hi James,

>Hope to see you all around for some time though <s>.

We sure hope so too and will be praying accordingly!

Glad to hear that the stroke was not too severe.
Get plenty of rest and follow the Doc's orders.

Hope you have a good tail-wind to help you along, and find easy landings wherever you fly! :-)

Hi James,

I was disturbed to read what happened and I wish you a speedy recovery. If you can afford it it would most certainly be worth paying for the tests to be performed at a private hospital - they're pretty much all absolutely amazing in comparison with NHS hospitals and the standard of service you can expect to receive should be worth the cost - and one can't put a price on one's health.

In the meantime I hope you enjoy a rest and best of luck on giving up smoking - I'm sure it'll be worth the effort.

-Stephen.

Hi Bill

Those I know you'd know were Lee James, Ray Proudfoot and Pete Dowson. The show itself was very well attended with the usual exhibitors. Nothing really new or revolutionary. I was mainly there to check out FS04 and see what sort of computers were being used to run it before I dived in.

The parking fee you refer to also concerned me because the wording appeared to suggest it would be a £6. The wording, however, was rather ambiguous. It turned out that parking was free if you could get into the hotel car park (which was pretty enormous). I had no problems finding a space and I don't think I ever saw it full so I imagine it was free for all visitors. The £6 fee only applied if the hotel car park was full and it proved necessary to use the NCP car park as an overflow.

Sorry I missed seeing them this year. I had slight health problems, so I couldn't manage being on my
feet too much. Maybe next year. Glad I did not miss
much.

Good. It is a long way to go to arrive and have
problems parking...
