Flight Simulator 2004 Service Begins!
=====================================

FlightAdventures is pleased to announce that Flight Simulator 2004 service has begun to all points around the globe.

Enjoy your flights and thank you for flying FlightAdventures!

The VPC Flight Terminal Persistent World Flight supports flights for Flight Sim 2002 and Flight Sim 2004 pilots in the same session.

Prior to this addition of the Persistent World Flight different versions of Flight Simulator could not interact. Other limitations were when the host of the sesion left the flight no other pilots would be able to join the session. The VPC Persistent World Flight eliminates this problem while adding several new features that enhance the online flying experience.

Utilizing FSHost Technology, some of the new features include:

- Text reports of pilot locations and positions
- Text reports of aircraft being flown in the session
- The ability to file flight plans which can be viewed by other pilots and ATC controllers

The VPC Flight Terminal allows pilots to join existing flights or create your own with friends and soon-to-be friends in the virtual skies over the VPC.

The VPC Flight Rooms use ActiveX technolgoy and support FS98, FS2000, FS2002, Combat Flight Simulator, most every DirectX/DirectPlay game out there (including DirectX 9 games), and now Flight Simulator 2004.

Featuring greatly simplified processes of creating and joining multiplayer flights (less complicated than the MSN Zone), other include:

- Greater pilot capacity
- One click launch
- The ability to join flights in progress (no IP memorization required!)
- The Flight Terminal will automatically recognize your VPC cookie (you only log on to the VPC once to enjoy all VPC services)
- Dedicated Flight Rooms for specific sims

Other notes:
=========
- Download or read
http://www.flightadventures.com/docs/VPCFTI.htm for detailed information about how to use the Flight Terminal Information. If you require further assistance or information then please don't hesitate to ask.

- We encourage everyone to download and install Roger Wilco mk.1c (in our downloads area) for their flights.

- For Flight Simulator 2004 pilots, we recommend FlightAdventures VoiceCOM and the FlightAdventures Kneeboard replacement utilities.

Have fun and we hope to see you in the skies soon!

Ah, it looks like the kneeboard has only been released to the VPC Crew (there's a link in the Crew Forum). I'm not sure when it'll be released to the public, but it'll appear in the File Library when it does.
