"B-17 Pictures"

Hi Guys,

Here are some B-17 pictures.

This first picture is from March AFB in CA. This was one of the many aircraft we saw there. There were aircraft parked outside the museum building for almost a quarter mile. Note the authentic bicycle leaning against the wheels of the B-17.

The next three pictures are from the Palm Springs (CA) Air Museum where they have a magnificent B-17 in full flying condition. Awesome! BTW, EVERY aircraft at this Museum is in full flying condition!!!

Here is Kaptain Kit sitting in the Pilot's seat. Normally off limits, but his journey of thousands of miles, and the UK accent :-) got us both a chance to sit at the controls.

And here is the Ball turret under the fuselage. The most cramped crew position by far on a long mission. And not something you would want to see up close flying certain aircraft at the time.

Enjoy!
