Been experimenting a bit with Flight Unlimited III. Although the scenery area is limited the scenery quality is outstanding! If you see it in a bargin bin should consider purchaseing it. Also get Flight Unlimited II, as it has nice scenery too and Flight Unlimited II's scenery can be used in Flight Unlimited III.

Yep, it is a shame. Although it may have its own quirks, I like FUIII. I think it's ATC implimentation is the best of the bunch out there. In many ways, FUIII recreates the atmosphere of aviation better than any sim out there.

I also agree that if you can find this baby in the bargain bins, grab it before it's gone!

Ben

FU3 is my most favourite Flight Sim after FS2K, I have to agree with Ben its got some awesome ATC on it.

I'm sure a company like "Sold Out" or someone will publish it in Budget soon

Oh, I forgot to mention that the seaplane is a hoot! It's absolutely the best seaplane ops of any sim out there so far. I love the effect of the spray of water droplets that dance across your windshield when you touch down.

I gotta get me a seaplane rating one of these days. :)

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can use all 3 of the FU series together, can't you? You get the whole west coast. Wow. hehehe BTW, it's still on the shelves at EB in my area. I guess they can't bare to put it with "lower" bargain games. ;-)

Actually, only the scenery from FU2 is compatible with FU3. FU1 uses different technology.

I rather liked FU1 quite a bit--it actually behaved like a real airplane around the edges of the envelope (it would do realistic snap rolls and spins). I tried to load it up about a year ago (we finally have machines powerful enough to run that puppy with everything turned on), but the darn throttle routine wouldn't work right (it looks like gameports are too fast for it). Bummer... :(
