"OLR v2.1"

Hi folks,

Upgraded my OLR to v2.1 and I'm getting some strange results/observations when I start the prog and hit Get/Send Pass!!

As instructed I downloaded both files. Ran OLR18-setup.exe first and told it to install to C:\VPC (the location of my original programme). It then installs but also creates a folder inside VPC called distribution. Now I didn't have this folder there in the first place so I copied every thing within this folder to the VPC main folder.

I then ran the OLR and noticed it was still reading (in help) version 1.2!!! No problem I thought as I now closed the OLR and Installed VPCOLR21upgrade. No problem with this I thought as I told it to do the same, install to C:\VPC.

I then ran the VPC OLR. Clicked on Get/Send Pass - WOW I thought this is fast, but, nothing happened so I ran it again and yep it started same old speed :-) fast(ish) :-) There was no now posts so I created on and sent it. No problem. I then wanted to send another so I created the post and clicked on Get/Send Pass and yep you guest it WOW this is fast BUT the post I wanted to send is still here!!!

Hence this post (if it sends it). Any ideas on what gives??

Clerical error corrections :-)

>> There was no now posts <<

Should read no new posts.

>> so I created on <<

Should read so I created one

Just another observation I just found is that I don't usually need to quote ALL of the post I'm going to reply to so I highlight the section I need and right click and use copy and paste. This function is now defunct in v2.1 all it does is bring up a Forum Properties tag!! Any chance of us getting the previous function back please?

James -

For technical reasons, the right click cut/copy/paste menu will no longer be available in the main window. You have two options - in the main window you can highlight the selection and CTL-C to save and CTL-V to paste or probably the most efficient way to go is to use the quote message function in the reply box to quote the entire message. You can then highlight the parts you DON'T want and either right click and deal with them or just press delete. This leaves you with the parts you want quoted already with the '>>' added.

HTH,

Vic

From your tagline, it looks like OLR.pl 1.8 was not installed properly. It needs to be installed into your Perl/bin folder. Please run OLR18-setup.exe again.
