Patty,
My instructor has kindly allowed me to park my "new" Extra 300L in your former hanger at Avra Valley where I'm just completing my check out. It still has the carpeted floor, your old bumper stickers, and the aviation energy you left in the place. Michael Rossi's Sukoi is parked just a couple of hangars away so there is still a fair amount of high level aerobatics going on. I've had a blast learning the Extra! What a great airplane to fly and learn aerobatics in. My previous 3000 hours is mostly straight and level so I've placarded the Extra with a "Straight and Level Flight Strictly Prohibited" warning so I'm not tempted to go on hamburger runs. ;-) I'm ready to solo the Extra and I want to thank you for the inspiration and advice you gave me once to go for it and get a "real" aerobatic airplane. You were absolutely right! Learning aerobatics has taught me just how much I still have to learn about flying an airplane...
