Greetings!

I just received an email from someone trying to register, but couldn't because his hotmail address was being rejected by the system. We're currently working on our privacy statement, but here are a few things that everyone should know:

1. No one visiting the VPC can see another member's email address. Registered Members can only see another member's email address if they log on, and you as a member enable your email box option in User Preferences. So if you're worried about someone harvesting your email address or targeting you for mail bombs, that simply isn't going to happen. While this may look like a public message board, we have taken many measures to protect VPC members. We've got a lot of time and effort put into the VPC already and we certainly will not let a few people or companies with bad intentions ruin it for the rest of us.

2. FlightAdventures will not give away or sell your email address to spammers.

I think that just about covers it. :)

If anyone has any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Ben

UPDATE:
After some discussion, the VPC has decided to allow anonymous email addresses for Member-level registrations. However, VPC Crew level registration/access will remain the same.

Thank you!
