"Menu problems?"

We've had two complaints of menu problems from the main VPC page in the last two days. Anyone else experiencing problems?

If so, please let us know if you've installed the IE hot fix lately or any other software change you've made.

Thanks!
Ben

Been working well for me.

Come to think about it, that problem with JavaScript and HTML appearing instead of the forum list when I click the message board's Mark link seems to have cleared up.

Only problems I have been having recently have been ACARS grabbing the focus when I am trying to log into the bulletin board and the bulletin board opening multiple instances of ACARS (It has opened three since I logged on this afternoon - I guess I need to close two of them). Frankly this automatic ACARS log in is getting to be quite a nusance. It would be MUCH better if only one instance opened and the message board automaticly recovered the focus.

Oops, thought of anouther annoyance. To many windows have titles that start with "FlightAdventures" or "Welcome...".
They are to hard to identify on the task bar. I just closed the two most recent "Welcome..." windows but using the task bar popup and discovered the remaining one was just some sort of greeting pop up. No fear, I am sure a new ACARS window will show up soon.

I am presently using IE 6.0.2600.0000

I have already emailed Ben with some ideas that may aleviate some of these issues without eliminating the automatic ACARS login.

You shouldn't be getting multiple instances of the ACARS window... I'm not sure what could be causing that but maybe Ben could suggest a cause? I've never experienced this myself, nor have I had problems with ACARS grabbing the focus.

The only thing I can think of is Robert logged on as his cookie expired and he shut the message board down and restarted it without killing the Welcome screen (not logged on screen). Otherwise, mulitple versions of ACARS doesn't seem possible. But this is what beta testing is for. :)

Hi Ben,
sometimes when I "click" Mark all, I receive a white screen with the following at the top

Greetings Emile:

We had some users with a similar problem many months ago, but we seemed to have solved them. What browser are you using, etc.?

I don't recall what the solution was, but the messages are still here in this forum. You might want to have a look (so you can refresh my memory of what we did!) :)

Ben

As far as I remember the fix was done server-side. I experienced this problem myself but I don't recall ever having to change my settings in order to resolve the issue... one day you altered the HTML, Ben, and it just worked... like magic :) (I think!)
