"Where's this magazine then?"

Hi folks,

For a few days now there's been an announcement about a magazine available in the "Lobby", wherever that is. I've been on the VPC site via IE5 and followed nearly every link, including the one to the magazine announcement, but NOWHERE can I find the correct "Lobby" nor the magazine!

I did get into one lobby, though it wouldn't accept my normal logon (had to use "Guest"), but it was some sort of chat room.

What's the point of having an announcement for something if it isn't there or impossible to find? Or am I just being very dense?

:-(

Pete

Hi Pete:

Sorry for the confusion. I guess we have too many things named "Lobby" (Flight Room Lobby and Main VPC Lobby. :(

You can find the magazine by going to:

http://www.flightadventures.com/vpc.htm and then click FA Magazine from the menu or the picture of the magazine sitting on the table along the lower right side of the screen.

Hope this helps!

Ben

Only the Flight Room lobby seems to have any links to it from elsewhere though. There's no mention of the "Main VPC Lobby" anywhere I went, except in the announcement. Odd. You'd think there'd be a link from the announcement about the Magazine?

Hmmm .... Menu?

I have my link to VPC as:

http://www.flightadventures.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi

From there I didn't find any way of getting to the "Lobby" you mentioned. I'll try the link you suggest, see what that looks like.

Thanks,

Pete

Yeah, we've just added one. But hey, better late than never, right? :)

Hmm, you've been missing most of the site if that's the only way you've been visiting the VPC. Very interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

I believe the 'Lobby' is the room you see as initial picture when you
directly goto www.flightadventures.com. Enter it, and the same picture
shows with some Java menus underneath. Within the picture there is the
magazine icon shown at the bottom right corner near the Notams. When you
click on it, you load the magazine.

Ah, I don't think I've ever gone there. Maybe just the once. My intial entry is at:

I probably wouldn't have found it then in any case. Not being a games player I never think of looking for pictorial ways of doing things! <G>

I'll take a look. Thanks.

It might be a good idea to provide some way of getting to the "Lobby" in the forums page. And if there's an announcement about something, as this time, then a link to it with the announcement itself would seem logical. <G>

Pete
