"NDB/VOR db addition in FS2002"

Does anyone know how to add a NDB (or VOR) entry (name, lat/long, frequency) to the FS2002 existing db?
Thanks

Greetings Jaime:

I did some asking around and I found that users are not allowed to mess with FS2K2's NAVAID database due to some legal mumbojumbo. The way that some people have gotten around this is by creating new bgl files that contain the missing and/or corrected NAVAIDs. If you ask the right people by private email ;), you can get a copy of such a util, but it comes with the stipulation that it will not be supported, so you're on your own getting it to work. However, having used it myself, it's really pretty straight forward so you probably won't need any help.

Ben

Hey Ben,

Thanks for your diligence.
Just adding a new bgl file seems like a pretty good workaround. I'll take it if anybody out there would please point me on the direction of those utilities: jaime@spinpro.com

I'll do my IFR check ride in a couple of weeks, and I know they won't let me do at Toronto-Person. My other 2 options are Hamilton-ON or Kitchener/Waterloo-ON, about 50/80nm from here. I just would like to add the NDB's missing for Kitchener, so I can practice.

Thanks a lot.
