NEA LHR #006 REPORT 0081

***

Flight Marthas Vineyard - New York JFK / DH83
Pilot: Guido Ostkamp

Engine on : 10:00 local
Takeoff : 10:05 local
Landed : 10:57 local
Engine out: 11:00 local
Total time: 01:00

Weather KMVY:
Skies clear, winds 9 kts from 350, temp 53, visibility 20,
pressure 1023.37 mb.

Weather KJFK:
Skies broken 14022 ft, second layer broken 25022 ft,
winds 6 kts from 340, temp 51, visibility 20, pressure 1025.4

Route:
KMVY - SEY - HTO - DPK - JFK - KJFK

Remarks:

Although not ideal I took runway 6 at KMVY for the takeoff, because I did not know if the length of runway 33 is sufficient for the Dash8-300 (it has only 3300 ft). After takeoff we went to 4000 ft in runway heading, then turned 180 degrees left to get on course to VOR Sandy Point. The rest of the flight was uneventful, at KJFK we landed on runway 31R using ILS.

TOTAL FLYING HOURS WEEK :-

Martha Vineyard - New York = 1:00
T/Os & LDs = 1
TOTAL = 1:00 + 1 = 2:00

CURRENT RUNNING TOTAL = 306:46

NEW CURRENT TOTAL = 308:46

END OF REPORT

Thanks, James! I'm looking forward to see the flight rallies reappear. I am not sure, if I can attend the next one, due to Christmas vacation, but we'll see.

Thanks, Jerry!

Well, I am not the only NEA pilot here <g> Detlef has joined this forum as well. At the moment I don't know who is really flying on the Dee's pilot list, since it has been very quiet in the last time.

Yep! EVERYTHING got quiet there for a while. Hopefully, this new home will breathe some new life into all of our activities!!

Hi Guido,

really good to see your report here. I wonder weather it is possible somehow to include a picture in the e-mail directly. Do you know? That might be great for flight reports, especially for rally reports. An HTML format should be more natural here anyway than on the CServe forum. - I'm not an expert in this. The HTML Reference here says: "No tags needed - just type the URL starting with .."

That's where I got the idea.

See you,
Detlef

I've posted a few pictures of some of my airplane model projects here. It's really very easy. You just need a website to store your screen shot on, then as you saw in the instructions here, type in the link (or path) in your message to your website and picture. :-)

Cheers,
Dee

yes, I have discovered that right now. I still have to figure out how I can activate my homepage on the Internet providers I use (t-online and 12move)..
