"OLR v2.1"
11-25-02, 20:25z

Hi Ben/Guido

Had an unusual problem with the OLR over the recent few days.

The OLR worked ok, no problems were evident re downloading/reading etc, but any activation of the 'Reply' button would return me to the desktop, quitting the OLR.

A complete uninstall, then re-install of both Perl & OLR (both original & update) gave no improvement.

Finally, replacing the full folder 'C:\Program Files\FlightAdventures\VPC_OLR' from the backup 1GHz PC cured the problem.

The 'old' folder was renamed 'VPC_OLR Old' before copying.

Possibly a corrupted file not being deleted on 'uninstall', or not permitting an overwrite when re-installing ?

Anyway, it is now working fine.

I'm running WinXP Pro.

Regards
Bill C

Actually, this sounds like a question for Vic. Vic?

Without tracking down the exact file, this sounds like the best guess. Some system files won't allow overwrite so if they're corrupt, it's a trial and error process. Welcome to Windows!

Glad all is well now tho,

Vic

Yes, I tried a couple of files first, but the rebooting / explorer 'delays', inherent in XP, caused me to lose patience, and assume the 'Sledgehammer' approach <g>.

Anyway, it worked !

Thanks Guys.
