"Chat integration"
01-04-02, 18:27z

Greetings:

We've integrated the FlightAdventures Chat (Java client) login so that if you're logged on to the VPC message board or ACARS, the chat rooms will recognize you and automatically log you into the room.

Notes:
1. We've set the chat rooms up so that guests can still access the chat without signing up for an account at the VPC. We may change this after PWAS's chat event. So if you see a login box, this just indicates that you aren't logged on to the system using the cookie (remained logged on feature).

2. This integration will not affect/change access via IRC clients.

3. VPC Crew with sysop rights on our chat servers will run into login/password problems the FlightAdventures Chat Java client doesn't accept IRC commands). You'll still need to access via your IRC chat client.

Thanks!
Ben

That is a security feature that the Java Client does not allow all of the sysop commands.
Just FYI!

Great Job Ben!
:D
