"Hello and Welcome!"
03-19-03, 20:53z

Hello,

This should be a good forum. My CFI (and friend) who taught me to fly is an 11,000+ hour ATP/CFII who flies for DHL (Captain, DC-8's). He also has a 1946 Luscombe and a 1974 Zlin 526F (and owns 1/3 of our C150).

Many of the pilots I associate with, fly with ( and who give me tips) are also ATP's etc. for various companies. Lot's of experience and stories.

What type of jet are you currently flying (and what types have you flown) so we know what types of questions to throw at, ahem, I mean ask you!

Hi,

Welcome to the new forum! I'm looking forward to being the moderator for such a great topic( I'm a little biased)!

As Dave suggested, I will give you a short bio of myself so you can direct questions at me that I can actually answer!

I currently work for United Airlines flying the 767 and 757. I previously flew the 737, as both Captian and First Officer, and the 747-100/200 as First Officer. My flying background is all civilian, I started as a flight instructor, then moved to corporate flying in a King Air. Next I worked for United Express flying the British Aerospace Jetsteam 32 and 41. After that I got lucky and got on with United. I still flight instruct and do some corporate flying in Citations, Falcons and Learjets just for fun.

I'm sure that especially now there are a lot of comments and questions about the airlines, lets get started!
